E46 M3 or 2010 m1, 135i msport?
SubscribeThis is easy…
The best value for your criteria would be the e46 M3. They are plentiful, there is a lot of oem and aftermarket parts & support, they are near bottom of the price curve and should be stagnant for years to come. Plenty of power for the track and sufficient modern feel & amenities.
The 1M is higher price point, if you can find one. If you did, you would want to leave it stock or with modifications that can be easily reversed- no doubt about it, this is a collector's car and you will likely want to keep it a garage queen.
The 135 is a zippy little car, but for your criteria, I would still stick to the e46 M3. These haven't depreciated to their bottom price yet. Also not as many aftermarket options for modification. Lastly, I would not even consider the 135 in cabrio format- the least desirable configuration. As an example, e36 & e46 M3 convertibles are worth nearly half their coupe counterparts. To be frank, in my opinion, it's a chick car.
So bottomline: e46 M3

I hate to say it, but I agree. Although the 135i's are a lot of fun, the E46 M3 is just raw and in true M fashion.Originally Posted by QWKSLVRNSX
