My new M5 pics
Scott:
Mine arrives in March. I went with Silver Grey 'though your blue looks pretty ****. I suspect you and I are running similar courses in terms of Turbos not being viable family vehicles. My 2 yr old fits OK in the back child seat, but it makes for amputees in the front passenger seat. I'm pretty sure I'm going to launch mine. I should do OK - miles are pretty good at 16K. Did you sell your Porsche privately or chop it in to a dealer?
Cheers,

Cheers,
I traded b/c the tax credit I received on top of their offer easily matched what I could get privately. I had an '02 with 19K miles at the time.
You're going to love the M5!
You're going to love the M5!
It handles amazing well or its size. It feels like a small car.
The color is unique to only the most recent M3's (last year of production) and the current M5. It's called Interlagos Blue and I really love it.

The dealer just found out that I have my M3 for sale and invited me up for a test drive of the new M5. I can get excited for that.
Just a tidbit if any of you didn't know, the M car colors are named after race tracks Interlagos being in brazil and means between the lakes because the track is situated in between *surprise* two lakes.
Scott is correct that Interlagos is available on an M3 but only the cars ordered with the competition package so there are not many of those either. I think it looks best at dusk when it gets a near purple tint to it, what do you think Scott?

Well, yes & no. The "M" button is a programable button to allow you to select all the settings you like at one time. You can have it give you all 500 horses or not. Most people program it to the most aggressive settings like S6 transmission changes, P500 Sport which is the 500 HP along with a much faster throttle response, and then set the suspension to the stiffest setting.
There is also a "power" button on the console that allows you to get the 500 horses.
I wait until my car is warmed up, then I hit M which sets mine on P500S, "Normal" suspension which is the middle stiffness one, and S5 gear change speed... oh and MDM which is the traction control set to be more forgiving before intruding than normal.
