I have an E60 M5. It is VERY fun as a daily driver. I've had a few problems with the SMGIII but overall, I am very impressed. Click the link in my sig to see my car.

Love M5s (have two), but I'll be waiting out the e60 with an eye toward the next generation. I really can't live with the Bangle styling. Also, you can have more fun modifying the e39 M5... nice selection of aftermarket options if you are into modding.

Cheers
Dave

I m not a M car fan, i bought M5 late this summer. And like it so much. I have doubts about it but the car is perfect except in traffic(but sure much better than my Gallardo in traffic ). No SMG problems yet the car is @ 9k km.
Only slight problem is , the car is eating to much oil. And i ve been told that , it is normal.

I like the fun of S5 and S6 mods. Also no complains about I-Drive. It is better and practical than MMI in my Q7

I ve test drive quattroporte it is a really good car but it is not much sporty it is like between Mercedes CLS and S. I think Quattroporte and CLS are over 40 year guys

I am happy with new M5 for now. No complains. It is not a %100 sport car but it is really fun for daily use.

I hate the looks of the M5/M6. And imo mileage shouldn't be a problem for someone that affords an 100k car right?

As for the CDV, it's 30min job to be removed and I doubt it voids the warranty. It's as if a clutch stop voided the warranty.

Mileage is a problem regardless of how much you make. The first low-gas warning light goes on at about 150 miles per tank. It's not a money issue, it's a usage issue. If they provided a bigger tank, almost no one would care about the low mileage.

I think most who purchased this car knew what they were in for when it comes to mpg.
Sure it sucks, but it's the opportunity cost of owning this extraordinary beast.

I LOVE the exhaust! It sounds SOOOOO nice. Alot of people have told me it reminds them of a Ferrari w/Tubi. You should put it on your M6 right away.

heh, I'm still waiting for kreis-sieg to release their m6 exhaust. Now that's true f1 sound and you can toggle between stock and "f1" mode.
