Pricey M5
You did notice where it said the car had 700 horsepower, right? That it was one of three built - and so badged - right? That it participated as a Pace Car in a Nascar race, right?
The markup is not for aftermarket stuff, but that the car is collectible. It only has 11k miles, a ****load of upgrades, plus a unique history. Maybe it's too soon to sell it at that price, but I think it would increase in value over time.

there's a bunch of M5 guys with S3 Dinan M5's that have paid $150k+ for the car (new) and the S3 package $70k with parts and labor
its a full setup with reliability and power
its amazing package, that car would beat out most 911 Turbo's with software upgrades
thing is amazingly fast and well balanced for a 4 door sedan
as for the price he's asking, wont happen
most owners of a E39 M5 they purchased new and added the S3 Dinan package, probably wont sell them ... and probably have them as daily drivers, one in particular in my home town
and he's got a 996 Turbo with X50, modded as his weekend car
so yes, i think the car is simply amazing, but no the price is ridicilous
it'll probably sell for $70-90k range in good condition
and honestly, i think its worth the $$, because yes, you could buy a porsche, but a M5 Dinan S3 makes a wicked daily driver for someone rich enough to owner a Ferrari/Lambo for weekend, and a S3 M5 for daily
