New M toy

CSL. The E46 M3 generation will turn into a classic design IMO. Similar to what the 993 has become. I wouldn't worry about it's design becoming outdated having seen the new M3 that looks sort of "put together."

mkell: I fully agree with you on the new M-design. It would be wonderful if the e46 reached 993 status. I've just got a sneaky suspicion BMW will turn the csl range into their cash-cow and start producing a few more of them. If so, there's a risk it'll loose some of it's "csl-magic"..

Get the Z3 M Coupe as its got the S54. Awesome bits of kit and extremely rare as you metioned. CSL prices will continue to drop as they have since new. Most people see a CSL and see an M3, a M Coupe stands out. A mate's got one and it's horn, pulls way more looks than my M3.

No, but unlike america the CSL isn't some mythical car either here or in the UK. They were sold here, and as far as Im concerned they are only just begining to be worth the price premium they ask over the standard M3.
