I have something to tell you, OK?
Anthony cool sticker. I don't get the joke but heck I live on a rock.
Aloha

P.S. Anthony I got your message and don't worry about the baby manual cause if I can't figure out the seat then I should not be having kids.

Great message.
Times past, if it was an M, it was a stick, period, end of story.
SMG has its place and is well accepted, but there is something to messaging and manipulating a cars engine and performance, that only a stick can give you.
I view SMG like getting all your info off the internet; nice, plentiful, neatly stored and cross reference. Can't beat. But it's still nice to read a newspaper, book, or magazine. The internet just can't mimic that feeling.
Also take the 3 pedal message in stride. Lighten up
Thnx

It's all in fun really. Those F1 Style Gear Boxes are Very Slick, they just aren't for me.

For the Porsche it would be - Manual vs Tiptronic (3 Pedals vs 2 Pedals)

Sorry we took the book that went with the Car Seat, hope you can figure out the Baby Seat.
PS, I sure Miss Maui!

I had an SMG E46 before, now I have a 6-speed 996 C4S. Do I feel more like a man for driving manual? Not really. I'm pretty sure Schumacher feels pretty manly in his F1 cars.

Ant: I Love those stickers, I want some made, a bit smaller perhaps.
BTW in my famiily we only drive stick, Z8 6speed, my car 6 speed, and my mother's M6 is also a 6speed.

I'm not denying that manuals are more engaging. I obviously enjoy them, since I have 2 cars with manual transmissions right now.
I just don't understand the constant bashing of SMG. I haven't seen too many posts saying that SMG is soooo much better than manual, only the other way around. I feel like SMG drivers have to constantly defend their choice. It seems that ppl that drive the manuals think that SMG drivers are "lesser" because they don't have a third pedal. I realize that a small proportion of SMG drivers can't drive stick and SMG is as close to automatic as they can get in an M3. But SMG is not the same as tiptronic! I used to rev match and L foot brake in my SMG--doesn't work too well in a true auto transmission.
I'm not sure why everyone got worked up over my post. I certainly don't care what someone has in their window and I'm definitely not "taking it too seriously". Do you really need a sticker to let the world know that your car is a stick?
