In all honesty, in my mind, there really is no real difference between the two. Just personal preference. I have driven both and love both.

a bit off topic but how has the reliability of m3's SMGs been?

 

I drove my buddies SMG for a few days recently, up until then I didn't really have much of an opinion of SMG. After driving the SMG car around, I HATE IT! JERKY JERKY JERKY! I'm sure it would be great on the track, but thats it, you should only have SMG if your a track junkie, your too old to shift, or you simply don't have the skills to shift the good 'ol 6mt!
