My E46 M3 had a sport function which I guess is about the same thing as SC.

I did not like it. It was fine from 3rd gear up but it was a pain in 1st gear. It made the car extremely difficult to drive smoothly at slow speed.

How does SC behaves at slow sppeed?

Is it worth $900?

 

SC, If your talking about a super charger, $900 is awful cheap. A super charger will give you lots of low end torque, (opposite of a turbo charger). Nothing short of engine transplant will do the same.

Since he said sports function for the M, i'd assume SC means SportsChrono for the porsche. Sorry i cant answer the q of op, not having a porsche, or m3 for that matter.

 

I think its worth it, I brought the option on my CS. the stop watch function is pretty cool, next time I am at the track. Plus the sport mode only enhanced the throttle slightly. Not as noticeable as on my M3.
