01 turbo engine in a boxster?

I've seen someone done this, but don't know the extend of the work involved... is it direct swap or too much work? would be awesome if I can put one of these bad boys in my boxster..... any thoughts on that? thanks.

no where near a direct swap.... it won't directly fit and major ecu issues... would be fun though wouldn't it?

I bet it could be done, you would probably lose the rear trunk.

Hmm...rear trunk 500hp in a Boxster.

I will take the HP!!

Is there any way possible to bolt the 996TT engine up to the 986 S 6-spd?

It would be about as easy as throwing an LS1 in the front with a ls1 rear axel and custom driveshaft. So go from there.
