TEIN coilovers for CS?

I don’t believe that TEIN offers a coilover for the CS yet, but one of their distributors mentioned yesterday that he will be installing a set of TEIN on his 911 (with an electronic adjuster)

The TEIN’s have 16 different settings for the struts and they have a gizmo that allows you to change the settings from the driver’s seat with a small electric motor that sits on top of each strut.

According to Dennis (TEIN distributor) the price for the set, including the adjusters should be around $2,000 which seems pretty reasonable

Does TEIN have a good reputation?

I have installed over 100 sets of Teins on Honda's and Acura's. The lower level stuff, HR's or Super Streets as they call them are not worth being on your Porsche.

The aluminum body stuff is amazing and so is the EDFC controller you spoke about.

Flat6, based on your comments Tein must have several different models, with their top of the line being the aluminum coilovers (I am not familiar with the Tein model line).

However, Dennis demonstrated how the EDFC controller works and it is an amazingly simple devise that it’s completely independent of the strut itself, it seems like a simple solution and a great idea IMHO.

Hopefully Tein would be able to obtain the right match between the spring rate and the valving on the struts for the Cayman application

I mention this because I remember reading a post from one of our sponsors saying that he was not very thrilled by the way the H&R coilovers where matched by the MFR, (actually the term he used is mismatched) when he described the H&R’s
