Probably not here in AZ either! The best I ran a few years back in my Heads/Cam/Headers/Tune Z06 with 430rwhp was a 12.4 @ 117 (on street tires). The trap speed is there but I have a video of it spinning in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and chirping in 4th gear. That car should have easily been in the 11's...........with good tires...............on the East Coast...........(and you're all thinking "With a better diver")!!!

So hitting a 13.5 stock in the CS, you'd have to figure about 160hp more added to snag an 11.9 assuming traction down the strip. Could be doable!

160 more hp is within your range! Blend in some 100 octane and you are there.

And we have 100 Octane at the pump about 3 miles down the road!

UPDATE:

Or should I say, "lack of an update"! Evidently there are still issues with getting the Intake Manifold/Intercooler setup completed. You'd think I would have learned by now not to even give a date, so, I'll just touch base again when I know anything more.

Are you back from Spokane? My wife lived in a house on high drive and I grew up just two blocks south. 6 degrees.

We should go up to Evoms and check out a finished product in the sharkworks/evo/CaymanRS350

I didn't go, too backwoods country bumpkin for me. Kidding of course!

Yeah, good call. I saw/heard that car in person. Pretty whicked. Sounds like there are some other shops switching to the Cayman platform for their "race" cars as well. 3000lbs, mid-engined, pretty hard to beat!

The project started November 2007, so, yeah, safe to say I'm beside myself! Just have to keep my eyes on the prize!

Supposedly everything is done and ready to go except this intricate Intake Manifold with integrated Intercoolers. I think the design has been changed a couple times which pushes the date back. This was designed on a Cad/Cam type setup which I was able to see the progress along the way. Amazing stuff. I just have to tell myself to "be patient"!!

You know, on another note. This has in effect caused you to keep the Cayman longer than any other car you have owned.

Well, it's been about 11 months since we started the project. The Intake is evidently still being worked on but not ready yet.

My wife and I have decided to put the Cayman up for sale for various reasons. (I'd list it for sale here but I evidently don't have enough posts, DOH!). I wanted to let everyone know the status though. I would keep watching or check with Evolution Motorsports to find out when the kit will be ready. It's going to be an unbelievable setup. I can't wait to hear about one of you (or many of you) running the kit! Time to pass the torch...
