New RS 60 Boxster - thoughts...
Only the door sills and the limited edition badge on the glove box. A friend of mine went in a dealer in UK today and was told about the car. It comes with 12k of options on it compared to a standard Boxster S but is only going to cost 45k. IN uk standard Boxster S is 40k. So this is cheaper special.
Looks like a good buy in my mind. UK is only getting four per dealer and will be delivered in March...

My 986 has the gemballa front bumper that has similar splitters to that of the RS60. I just think Its a step in the right direction but it needs to be running..fast to be called an RS. it looks like what the GT1 337 was the tp GTI. It should be what the R32 is to the GTI. more styling, better handling, more power. RS60 is german badge engineering
I think it's stunningly beautiful. I love the silver on red combination on any P car and think this is so much better than the old 986 Boxster Red interior.
I recently read that 987 sales in the US are down more than 30% this year compared to last year. As such, I'm not surprised to see Porsche offering these special edition Boxster and Cayman vehicles to boost sales and interest in the cars.

It looks pretty nice, and if the price is < options + base than its a nice deal if the options make sense for the buyer.
Now I can't remember what my rear taillights look like on my Cayman. I guess they have some white in them. Truth be told I couldn't care about stuff like that, but the aero kit if tastefully done, and nice interior gubbins are cool.
I do agree, though, with gmoney - I'd rather spend the money on more power in a "special edition"...
One rant too - Why do they have to make the web site only go to the big media version in a full screen window? I just wanted to see some quick pics and get a rundown of the specs, and I'm subjected to the full "we design our websites like a brochure with sound" treatment.
