i know just about every enthusiast on here hits the road track when they want to have some fun, but have any of you actually taken your car to the drag strip? haha i wouldnt run my car to find out, but a friend of mine with a turbo Z is all about it and asked me. i didnt even have a good estimate for what it WOULD run. just an '05 boxster for me. if you've run your car before, what is it, what mods, and what was your time and trap? or if youve heard of others running, that works as well

 

i was attending Brumos U (dealer driving school, which was amazing) at gainesville raceway. we were on the road course all day. at the end of the day, those that wanted to run down the famous "gatornationals" dragstrip could. so, i said hell yeah. i am not a drag racer so don't laugh at my times:

Im not a dragster either, but um yeah... 2.5 60' time is where you lost your time... the trap speed isn't bad though...

 

Nice times. With the amount of axle hop my car gets when you spin the wheels, I'd have to vote no.

 

I ran a 14.5 and then a 14.4 with i think it was a 2.2 60' and missed 2nd.
