Cayman OEM brake pad fitting issue

Hi all I just purchased replacement OEM brake pads for my 07 cayman...
they are pagid oem (textar), but have a different shape than my original pads.
The tensioner that holds the pads in place doesn't fit anymore.
At first I thought it was obviously the wrong part, but then I went to order from a different vendor, the picture looked the same.

Here's a comparison (new ones on top, original below):


Here's the pic from the vendor site, which matches the ones I bought:



Here's a comparison of the old brake pads and the new. Notice how the tensioner won't fit on the new set:




Any advice would be appreciated. thanks.
