Evo Intake question

i have installed the evo intake on my cayman S, the intake goes inside the airbox after removing the oem filter, b4 doing that you have to take the plastic flap off the airbox in order to install the intake. My question is after install do you have to put the flap back on the box with the intake installed or can you leave the flap off to the box. I wasnt sure because some photos i have seen it off so you can see the intake filter but wasnt sure if it is better for circulation to have inclosed in the airbox. If any anyone know's let me know thanks.....

I re-installed the air cleaner cover. I think the instructions tell you to re-install it.
