browsing for a 2006-7 Cayman S with PCCB

Gentlemen - New to posting on this forum but I've browsed a few times. I've been looking at Caymans for a while now. The impetus for pulling the trigger is that my 325i is being relegated to track duty. With the race brakes and track calibration, it's becoming a compromise to drive it to work. I'm going to move some money around and pay off the note on the car. By the start of the spring racing season, I'd like to have a Cayman S daily driver. I'm also looking at the 2009 335d, as in 430 ft/lb of torque diesel.

I've seen 2006 CS low miles for as low as $42,000. Then I noticed I could get one with PCCB for virtually the same price, and that really piqued my interest. It looks like the original owner completely eats the cost of that option.

Any opinions? Things to look out for or avoid?

I saw an Cayman S blk/blk with PCCB for sale in Autoweek a few weeks ago. Cayman's with ceramics are rare. That 335d looks like fun on the street because of the torque but to heavy for the track.

Yeah there are not many ceramics, but I would be fine with doing a national search and having it shipped. Or having the dealer locate it for me. Is the dealer a good route, or are they going to overcharge and not back it up with some kind of lasting service?

335d would be a street car. 325i would be the track car.

If the Cayman is Certified pre-owned by a Porsche dealer, you can sleep tight. you get a 2 years warranty and it has to go trough an inspection to get approved.
