I've enjoyed my Pirelli SnowSports. Bought mine from Suncoast mounted on wheels, but +1 on Tire Rack.

I had Bridgestone Blizzaks on my 986 Boxster S. They are the best in my opinion. Held amazingly well on both ice and snow. I'm trying to sell my 18" Turbo Twist II stock wheels that came on the Boxster wrapped in the Blizzaks. They still have excellent tread left. PM me if your interested. I'd be willing to sell only the tires.
