A few weeks ago when I made my review post regarding the RS350 kit you spoke about "all your friends on CC", etc, etc. Now you come on another public forum just to bash them? CC is a great place with a wealth of knowledge concerning the Cayman.

Man...you flip-flop more than a politician!

This is not true and you know it, and I can produce the email that will prove it. You used 2 user accounts on the site for almost 2 months and when asked about it you lied and claimed that you had forgotten the password to one of them and that's why you created a 2nd account. Our rules say that you cannot have 2 accounts. If you had a problem logging into one you should have alerted me or a moderator and we would have helped you. You did not, instead you used 2 separate accounts to post on the site until we spotted that you were doing so and then lied as to why you were doing it. Because you did it AND you lied about why, you were suspended and I spelled that out to you in the email I sent you. I also asked that if you had a problem with the suspension and wished to discuss it that you contact me. You did not.

Instead you came here and bashed our site, my moderators and myself.

I think that speaks volumes about you as a person. I'm sorry if you are dealing with a substance abuse problem as you later told one of our moderators but I don't know if that is true or another lie.

Given your actions here in starting this topic thread as opposed to talking to me about your suspension your suspension has now become a permanent ban.

Yes we have rules on our site, and yes we enforce the rules. I know some people don't like that, and that's "OK", but those who break the rules, then lie about why they break them, then refuse to talk to me about it should expect to get the consequences that they deserve.

If you have any further comment please direct it to my email, you have my email address as I will not waste any more time here responding to this sort of baseless attack.

While CC.net is run as a tight ship, I have never seen or heard of them treating anyone unfairly. Maybe this is an isolated incident, but they are bunch of knowledgeable, fun guys over there and it is a GREAT resource for Cayman owners.

I wish you would take care of this offline.

Also, your typing is so erratic, it is hard to not only read what you are saying, but also to believe you are the rational one right now. Im just saying, take a step back, talk to the guys at CC.net offline, and try to be a bit more professional...

 

Yes. I agree Cayman Club is quite a bit more strict than 6Speed but that has its pros and cons. In some cases, a stricter forum may be better to keep certain threads from getting out of hand, turning into a frivolous flame war. I think keeping these threads in check can help reduce bad blood between members.

However, the same cannot be said about some moderators who on a regular basis, display unnecessarily aggressive behavior towards members for voicing their opinion. Often times using forum rules as an excuse and accusing members for "shilling" and being a "fanboy." At times, some moderators even go as far as banning members without notice, warning, or reason. To this, I cannot agree is what's best for the forum. But that's just my opinion.

that said, my personal experiences with Ken aka K Man S as well as many of the moderators, have been more than pleasurable. Aside from a few bad apples, I think most moderators on CC are reasonable people.

If the moderator in question unfairly banned/deleted your account, I am sure Ken will do his best to get to the bottom of it. while some may consider criticizing CC on 6speed bad taste, it's a free world, and as long as that doesn't violate some 6speed rule, it's your word against theirs.

As a moderator there, I'd like to comment on this. I was not involved in this action, but because I'm a moderator there I do have access to the moderator forum and I was following the long and ongoing discussion about your use of two names. No one had it in for you, no one missused their power. You were contacted by Santa Fe who asked you why you had two names. The decision took many days and never did you say, "Oh, that's my sons user name."

Why don't we allow more than one user name? For several reasons. First, we want an accurate member count. But more importantly, we've seen people use multiple names to 'act' like seperate users that have a similar opinion and/or who are supporting each other. It's a form of shilling because the connection is unknown to the viewers.

For example, let's say I wanted to promote a product. I could sign up 6 different names here, then post a product announcement, then use my other 5 names to post false testimonials saying I bought that product and that I love it. To a viewer, it would look like 5 positive testimonials when it's really only one. This is only one example of multi name shilling.

I hope that helps you understand the situation a little better.

Freedom of speech does not apply in any way to this. I don't know why people think that as Americans they have the right to say anything they want to without consequence.
