photoshoot: Boxster S (987)

had an amazing weekend with boxster S. drove it for the first time and felt in love. it was my first time driving a mid-engine car. took me some time to get used to the feeling but as soon as i get used to it, man i had a fun with it. Now it makes me want to drive 911 so much! Thought my E46 M3 handles good but...this car handled a little better anyway, here is some pix

If you have not yet driven a 911, you will likely be disappointed.

While I have not owned one yet, I have a fair amount driving time and it is not near as good as the mid engine IMHO.

Handling of 911S and Turbo feel slow and ponderous by comparison. You can feel the weight over the rear wheels which causes the car to bounce and unweight the front tires over bumps. Going through turns with undulating road surface causes a cork screw effect. The car is still brilliant when driven to 7/10s but not as good as the mid engine design.

Do you polish the car before the photo shoot? Will you be able to see the swirls if you do not polish the car?

nope. depends on how you take a photo and how you edit (like add more contrast..etc) a photo, swirl wont show up.

My dad test drove the CaymanS and then a CarreraS, two days later he picked up a CaymanS. The handling of the Cayman was light years above the Carrera now if only they would give it a bit more juice he said
