Does anyone have any information on aftermarket exhaust mods for the new 2009 Boxster S with the 3.4L/310HP DFI engine? I am picking up my new one tomorrow and the dealer demo I drove about 2 weeks ago wasn't nearly loud enough for me and the factory PSE wasn't available when I ordered my car. I am looking primarily for a nice deep/loud sound without resonance and any performance gains would be a bonus. I know that the exhaust system for the new 2009 997.2 DFI is a complete re-work so I assume that the system for the new Boxster 3.4 DFI will probably be a major change as well. I am looking primarily for a catback system. I have checked with Fabspeed and they don't have a car yet to start design work. Does anyone have any info on any of the other exhaust outfits? I realize that the new Boxsters have only been out now for about 3 weeks and it is really early to expect mods yet, but any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Congrats on the new car. It depends on what you are looking for but we do offer the Sportec exhaust in a standard axel back or cat back version. Techart also offers a sport exhaust for your car. One final option would be the Fabspeed exhaust for the Boxster.

Thanks for the info, but are you sure these exhaust mods will fit the new 2009 3.4 DFI engine on the new 987S? The new 2009 997.2 DFI engines are a complete re-design and require a new exhaust mod and I just assumed it would be the same on the Boxster. And I know that Fabspeed is still waiting to start work on their new design. Just asking - thanks.
