HID foglight install 987 Cayman

cost: $80.00-200.00 many kits
difficulty 1-10: 1.5 easy as changing a light bulb
tools needed:
pick
phillips screwdriver
3M double sided tape
I purchased a HID kit on ebay for $69 and it lasted 3 days then started blinking and the ballasts went bad. I returned it and got a full refund. I purchased a kit from a local shop for $200. It has a 3 year warranty and they were very helpful.
The kit consists of 2 ballasts, 2 bulbs and 2 brackets
First remove your foglight shrouds, pull out at the bottom of the shroud then you will hear it snap off.

this will expose 3 phillips bolts, remove them and the housing will come out.

after removing the light bulb by turning it to the right, using a pick pull off the light clip covers.

take the bulbs out of the special clear cases and install them into the housing. One of the bulbs in my kit required me to file one of the tabs a little to get it to fit.

connect the clip from the kit to the factory bulb harness, removing that little cover allows it to fit.

I used 3M double sided tape to secure the ballast, it fits right in front of the headlight washers inside the bumper cover.

I got the HID foglight too in my Cayman but seems that the output is not as bright as yours. I bought Japanese kit not such knockoff. Also the light outlines are not as neat as yours. Yours looks perfect.

Might be the angle of the foglight. Do you adjust yours?

did you get 4000K, 6000K? mine is 6000K, you can adjust the height using a phillips screw driver.
