speedART Race Exhaust Video
speedART Race Exhaust Video
I've just tested another exhaust system, this time the speedART Race Catback. I thought you guys might enjoy a little video footage.

This one is a LOT milder than the others I've tested (Borla and AWE). Different strokes for different strokes. This one sounds very tight, crisp and docile. It's right for the owner that's looking for something a bit sportier than stock, that can be semi-aggressive under WOT and docile under light throttle.
Read my full product review here.
*Disclaimer: No, I don't work for speedART or GMP Performance. I like to review products. It's a hobby that allows me to play with my car and discuss the projects.

Thanks... The system has a really tight, crisp sound to it. I'd call it mildly aggressive. It doesn't have the bark and rumble of the Borla and AWE that I tested, which were both very nice. But I suspect this system will appeal to a wide (and different) group of customers who want something a little more sedate that still has some lungs.
I've have the Borla, the AWE and the speedART. They are three very different systems.

In regard to the 2009+ cars, I think speedART is the only company offering a system that fits it right now, though I happen to know that Borla is actively looking into it. The headers are different on the Gen 2 cars, therefore the systems requires different downpipes. This may take a little development time for Borla. Companies like AWE and speedART, where the downpipes are separate pieces, can keep rolling with their muffler design and just create new downpipes.
On the Loud Scale, 1 being completely stock and a Capristo in opened mode being 10, I'd put the three systems like this:
speedART Race System - 3
AWE Tuning - 6
Fabspeed - 6
Remus - 7
Borla - 8
Drone tends to mirror loudness and happens when the engine is loaded in the 2,200-2,800 RPM range. Less aggressive systems will allow more throttle input in this range before the drone becomes intrusive.
