Rear Strut Brace

Does anyone have any experience with using a rear strut brace in their Boxster or Cayman ? I have a front strut brace in mine. Although I don't think that this addition has made for better handling, I must say that it has quieted down some of the notorious squeaks and creaks often associated with convertible top/cowl shake. I am curious know if installing a strut rear brace has a similar benefit ?

I've heard from a couple of tuners that the rear one is a waste of money. They thought the front one would help.
