Interesting Comparison

Over the last couple of months I have been contemplating the purchase of a new vehicle that was both performance oriented, as well as having practical, every day useful attributes. For that reason, the Mitsubishi EVO X MR and the Subaru WRX STI have both appealed to me. Now, I know that neither one of these vehicles represents the same mundane, daily driver aspects of say, a Toyota Camry. However, they are both four door vehicles with ample cargo space ( especially the Subaru) and they feature AWD (which is a real consideration up here in the northeast). I betray no secrets when I say that both of these vehicles are legion amongst enthusiasts for their brute horsepower and performance "right out of the box". And, to be quite honest, I was curious to see how my boxster compared to them, albeit, they are both very different vehicles. After having driven them both, I was astonished to see just how much more powerful and responsive my boxster was in comparison. And, as far as handling was concerned, there was clearly "no contest" in this category. In comparison, my boxster felt much more balanced and poised in the handling department than either one of these vehicles. Now, granted my boxster has been modified in just about every way possible and the MR and STI were both completely stock. Moreover, I know that many would view this comparison as being a case of apples to oranges based on summary factors. Nevertheless, I was still amazed at just how much more responsive and powerful my boxster felt in comparison. I guess in the final analysis, my experience gives credence to the marque that we have all come to admire.

p.s. Now that I have said all of this, I will likely encounter one of these "forced induction beasts' out on the road-way thats turning out 500 whp, leaving me to put my shoes and socks back on !
