Hello all. Short time reader, first time poster. Just wanted to make a quick introduction and wondered if I could get some quick questions out of the way. I did some searching and got a few answers but I would just like some clarification.
1.) I will possibly be buying my first Porsche and I am leaning towards a 2006+ Cayman. Although I am entertaining the ideas of a 996/997(TT) as well. Anything that might lead me one way or the other?
2.) I have read quite often that most of this forum recommends PPI's. I have never had one performed before, but I believe I will this time. Is there anyway to go about it? Any possible recommendations would be nice.
3.) Whichever car I choose is there anything I should be on the lookout for? I have come to discover it is easy to be awwed by the thought of having a new car and I may miss small mishaps, as was the case when I bought my Corvette. I would like to avoid that this time.
4.) I searched a while for Forums, because I believe they are very valuable for information, and I found this to be one of the most active for a broad spectrum. Any other sources for information?
Thank you in advance, I am sure this will stem more questions, I appreciate everything in advance. Looking forward to becoming a fellow Porsche Enthusiast.

1. Cayman and Turbos are WAY different. This question alone could go on and on. I think budget will come into play a lot here (06 non S cayman = 35k and a 997TT = 100k) --- big difference.
2. PPI is important on higher dollar cars and when not buying from a dealership imho. Def consider this and once you find a car - post on here for someone in that area that can do a PPI for you. Normally it will cost you like $100.
3. Things to look out for? EVERYTHING! hahaha
4. Teamspeed is a cool forum...so is Luxury 4 Play...and for some hardcore Porsche talk try Rennlist.
Good luck on your first Porsche!! You will be hooked!!!!
