Snow Chains?

My wife taking her RWD Infiniti EX up to the mountains/snow.

Does she need 2 or 4 chains???

they come in pairs. you need them on the wheels that drive. in your case, rear. i hate them. i had an rx7 before and i took it to reno during a heavy winter. chains were required. i put them on. note if you put them on with gloves, it's very difficult. it's a lot easier w/o gloves but your fingers will froze and fall off. anyways with chains on, cruised at 35mph per instruction. chain snapped and continuously whipped my right rear fender until i could pull over. damaged my right rear fender pretty bad. bought a 4x4 after that. no need for chains anymore. they just wave me on even though sign says chains required.

The funniest thing I ever saw was while driving to Big Bear mountain back in 2000, a E34 BMW (535i) stuck on minor hill, with snow chains on the front wheels!!!
