Giving the 986 a Meaner Look
The Boxster is a great addition to the Porsche line - it is sleek, peppy, modern, and 'reasonably'-priced. Our beloved little entry-level has been around since 1997 and although Porsche has given us the S model with a little more uummph, not much has really been done about the appearance of the basic car (a sound strategy from Porsche of course).
I have looked at the aero-kits available and for the possible exception of the Gemballa kit, it just does not give the car a more aggressive stance. Does anyone agree with this opinion of mine????
Now that the 986 used market is plentiful, I am sure many of us would like to individualize our cars.
Any thoughts????

The gemballa areokit is agressive but IMO not very clean (especially with the paint schemes i've seen).
If you want aggressive, you can actually (here come the flames
) slap a TechArt Front Spoiler II on there, just as long as you swap out the 986 headlights for 996. I'm not sure of the exact details, but the guys at CEC have the knowledge. They also have a good east coast referral who has done similar mods.
That spoiler, with the porsche or ruf rocker panels, and a wing of your choice (not many out there) and you'll be pleased

What about something different?
Adding the turbo nose and tail is ok, but I was referring to a style kit that would keep it as a Boxster but give it a unique new style too ( that is the only reason I mentioned Gemballa).
BTW- what does IMO mean?
Thanks,
Dan

IMO = In my opinion
If you're trying to keep it a boxster but give it some flare... check out RUF 3400s or 3600
