Just installed a NRG short hub and quick release on my 07 Cayman

I installed a Limited Edition OMP Super turismo Steering 320mm Steering wheel with a NRG short hub and 2.0 style Quick Release today .
Overall I am very happy with the quality and the results .
The Installation had a few quirks but you know how that is to be expected .I searched the forums and internet for weeks trying to figure out this installation but it looks like this is the first install on a 07 Porsche Cayman with the NRG product .so anyone looking to do this mod it should be a NO BRAINER DIY

The new steering wheel pops in and out in just seconds.I was a little worried about this but after trying it several times it really feels solid and is very simple procedure .
I was also worried about the NRG quality but after doing a lot of research there are a lot of race cars and racing companys using the NRG product.
A whole lot!
I can honestly tell you it looks and feels Rock Solid (I am very Impressed)
so I give the quality a 9 .I would give it a 10 if it had a airbag deactivation
function like the works bell unit has .
but hey for $175.00 for the short hub and quick release it fit my budget more .If you have a professional Durametricts software or friend like me then just deactivate the drivers side air bag and your good to go without any lights on in the dash.
Also a big benefit is the extra leg/thigh room!! wow ! now my legs dont come so close to the steering wheel !!
Total cost for everything was $295.00 including shipping
here are a few pics .
notice the 2 buttons on the wheel where your thumb can press them ,You can wire in 2 functions to these bottons .Mine will be the Horn and the High beams ,but you can virtually choose any 2 you want
Overall I am 100% happy

Houston987 is infamous around these parts
Resurecting an old dead thread - but installing the NRG hub on my Cayman now. Did you need to remove the clock spring to get it to fit, trim it, or ?

Thanks!
