The delivery has came!

Look what rolled in today. Me and my in-law decided share this toy. I guess we got lucky and the steering wheel is black. Anybody here know why some steering wheels are silver and some are black?

The red brakes look tiny. For that reason alone wish they were yellow.

Enjoy!!!! you are gonna really be surprised at the driving skills that car has!

TPC will be putting out a "HP" mod for the spyder in spring. It's very quick as it is..It just needs about 50 more HP.

have fun for Christmas.........I always take one of my cars on one of my favorite drives just after sun-up on Christmas day. No one..and I mean no one is there to enjoy the asphalt but me. This year..the Spyder!

Early MY2011 Spyder production got the older 'silver' spoke wheels, similar to the MY2009/MY2010 standard 911 steering wheel. Later Spyder production are getting the 'black' spoke steering wheel, which you will also see in recent production MY2011 911's. Nice Spyder, enjoy! z356

Thanks, now I can drive around inside until the snow melts . I'm quite curious if this thing handles better than my GT3RS. Just wish i can combine the cars together into a 2800lbs 400+hp mid engine super car.

There is a well written piece in the November excellence magazine. It's titled 600 mile test loop with Patrick Long. The point of the article is a comparison between a Cayman S and a GT3. The GT3 was faster in the hands of a top notch driver like Patrick but the Cayman was faster for us mortals. It will provide some good insight to your curiosity.

It's still kind of unfair since the GT3 has 100 more hp and semi slicks vs the street tires on the Spyder.

I'm asking which is the better handling car with the same tires. Of course that would consist of feel, steering angle, g's, corning speed and etc.. Interesting considering the lightest porsche vs the claimed best handling 911.

Both cars in the article have R compound Michelin Sport Cups on them. Patricks take is the GT3 turns in far more aggressively and is better off the turns as well due to the gobs of traction but the Cayman S is better through the turn, very interesting. With an good driver in the Cayman and Patrick Long following him in the GT3 on a tight, bumpy, and occasionally wet section of road the GT3 is not catching the Cayman S. This is with a world class driver vs a good driver. So the answer to your question is complex and depends on the conditions. You have two of the best cars on the planet in the Spyder and the GT3. A very good position to be in. Now if we can just get rid of our snow.
