I'm trying to figure out the most cost efficient way to get a Cayman with a TechArt style body kit (w/GT3 rear) and also the latest LED tail lights. So I was thinking, If I'm doing a full bodykit anyway, wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a 987.1 and install 987.2 taillights with the new bumper I'd have to buy even if I had a 987.2? I'm seeing '07 Caymans in the U.S. for upper 20's. I could get NRAutos GT3 987.2 bumper, plus add a TechArt style front bumper (987.1) and side skirts. Then I'd have a killer body kit w/987.2 tails. I actually prefer the headlights on the 987.1 and do not wish to replace them, so that will save a little money.
