Transporting A Dealer Trade

How do Porsche dealerships typically transport cars they dealer trade? More specifically, my dealership has found a car i would probably take but its 1,000 miles away. would they drive it back to their dealership? Have a Porsche transport ship it? Or would their driver haul it back in some sort of trailer?

If they would drive it back I am not sure I would be thrilled with picking up a "New" car with 1,000 miles or more on it....

I think with Porsche dealer trades they use the car transporter trucks ,those ones that can haul 8 to 10 cars. The cars are not protected from rocks or bad weather .you can fly to the location that has the car and drive it back yourself ? if you are not trading in a car then i would ask the dealer that has the car you want to match the price and pay for you to fly there and pick it up to drive back .
best case ask the dealer to ship it in a closed box trailer .that would be perfect

typically they use the same type of transport that is used when they ship from port (which is enclosed). When paying for the car make sure they arent overcharging you for the shipping cost.

When I was at BMW we used regular open car transports or we would get a single race car style enclosed trailer depending on what was available.

You can offer to arrange for your own enclosed transport. Passport (Fedex) and Horseless Carriage are good companies to use.
