the problem with the cayman s is the lack of power on straight lines

that frustrated my dad a lot when we go at the track cause i pull in front of him with my 03 4S hehehe, and i dont talk about turbo or gt3

within the last months, ive changed a lot of parts on his car and im sure he will be lot faster than I and will catch the gt3, well almost...

im waiting on the mantis sump kit, will install it once we get it.

for sure the cayman s is a great dd car and could be a lot of fun on the track

we changed the suspension on the car with bilstein sport and eiback kit and the car changed a lot on the track.. then 2 weeks later, i got a good deal on jic coilover and it made a major difference again. Car is now really lowered a d has a track alignement with major camber.

as for the power, lot of parts that will help him to catch up with gt3

straight line speed, the 4s may have a bit more power, but for me, the lighter car with the better weight balance in the corners would be my choice. if straight line speed was a priority. I would have a vette.

My car has been hitting the track for 5 years. Fully developed Boxster Spec X car, maybe 60 track days, two PCA TT championships, multiple PCA track records. She has been pretty reliable so far. Great bang for the buck.

Best track toy for you would be a 2.5 boxster Spec. Cheap, drive it to and from the track, no worries if you stack it.
