I presume you're relatively new to the sport? If so, run your stock set up - the stock tires and car are much more than even for a moderately experienced driver.
I've been an instructor going on 6 years now and I've seen too many newbies run track tires and modify their cars like crazy. Invest in some seat time and I wouldn't worry about track tires until you've gotten a good solid 20+ days under your belt. Hoosiers I wouldn't recommend as your first track tire.
There are plenty of aggressive summer tires that are just a notch under an r-compound (Dunlop Direzza Star Spec, Hankook Ventus RS-3, Kumho XS) that will do quite well on the track but still provide good feedback for the driver.
Make sure your tires don't exceed 38 - 40 psi HOT. Have fun and good luck, and remember to "invest" in the driver first before you do stuff with the car.

EL thanks, i have about 15 days under my belt, but i am new to this car... i have about 6 days scheduled ahead of me, so i will learn.. im just trying to gather as much info as i can.. Ive been around long enough to know that im gonna leave the car stock... The car is pleanty fast... I just assume track tires will be my mod.. thanks for the input, i need it...
First track mods
Tires will make a huge difference and I would go with the Dunlop Direzza Star Specs - much better than the OEM tires and still perform quite well in wet conditions.
Also upgrade your brake pads and brake fluid, and your learning curve should still be there. Good luck and have fun. Being in FL, I presume you can run with Chin Motorsports, too.

To put some context around why R compounds are not ideal for drivers with limited seat time... They are much less forgiving when it comes to driving at the limits. Unlike street tires, R compounds give driver little to no warning when they go/lose traction.
So, when you're driving at the limits on street tires, they squealing like pigs and you feel the car drift lightly and you have a bit of margin to correct. On R-compounds, by time you hear that squeak, you're pretty much in recovery mode - that window to correct is very small.
Good luck and enjoy!
