First Drive: Porsche Boxster S PDK
Verdict:
"Nothing I have said here is going to convince a 911 owner to move into a Boxster, I guess. The 911 has the extra power and that counts far more in the US than it does one the tighter roads of Europe" - link above for full review

Walter Rohl driving one too:

That is a gorgeous car. The difference between a Carrera and Boxster are such that one will be drawn to one or the other. I appreciate them both but prefer the additional room in the Carrera.

Hate to say it -- but the new Boxster looks like a more exotic car to me.

I came from a 06 997 C4S which I picked up in Europe. Actually used the power more there for my 3 weeks than I did the next four years here in the US. Picked up a spyder and have more driving enjoyment out of it than I did in my 997. The new Boxster is beautiful. Try to wait till summer if you can, because the Sport Exhaust is a must! Available this summer I hear!

Always best to try and drive them back to back!

Seeing this video and looking back on the last decade, I can't recall the last time Porsche put so much light & attention on the Boxster model. Sure, they did the standard promotional video; car with top down on a leisurely drive on some curvy road with the cliff and ocean as the back drop... but certainly nothing like this video.

I like the new Boxster. I think the 981 design does a good job elevating the Boxster model and will attract many new buyers.
