Farnbacher Loles Cayman on Ebay?
Good to hear that, Paul. I spoke w/ Spencer ***, who was w/ FL when the GTRs were built, and he said that he has not heard of any problems. He has a shop now called Speedsport in Danbury and I suspect he bought the FL assets when they closed. This one has a similar history to yours: conversion done at about 10,000 miles and (original) owner has put 12,000 on it. I am going to some DEs so I am going to install an underdrive power steering pulley and LN inline cooler.
Oh, and I'm not paying $65,000. Not even $55,000. But close.

Flying to Boston in the morning and driving back.
W/ a CS chassis and 997S engine I'm going to be straddling 2 forums. In some cases I'm not sure which will be the right one. E.g. power steering pump, etc. - would that have come w/ the engine or not? I'm going to have to do something to keep it cooler. Planning on UD pulley and LN inline cooler.

"$50k is a very good price on a well sorted car."
Paid $54,000. PPI was pretty flawless, only Range 1 revs. And it actually had fewer miles on it, around 21,500.
Saw car in person for the first time Thurs. afternoon and it looked every bit as good as the photos. Sounds amazing.
The clutch they put in is a bit heavy, though, and was tiresome in the bumper-to-bumper traffic that I encountered everywhere from Boston to Washington. It is also quite loud, depressing and releasing pedal, changing gears - more mechanical noise than I'm used to. I guess it is a function of the "racing" clutch because the guy who did the PPI said nothing about it. Averaged over 25 mpg.
Perhaps my biggest complaint on the long drive was the radio tuner. It has the standard Porsche system and just would not pull in stations. I'd say that half the trip I had no FM. And I never picked up an AM station. Tuning manually I could get a few but rarely when scanning. Even here in Memphis the scan only picks up like 3 stations when it should be more like 10. What's up w/ that?

FWIW here I am 5 years later and I'm still driving the car, now w/ 70,000+ miles on it. I've had little trouble w/ it and it is bad *** on the track. As an early swap, FL was blazing some new ground, and they missed on the tune, which was done by Revo and was essentially modded Cayman. It was initially down on hp but after a Softronic flash it is now running a 911 program and making around 400 at the crank.
To all the naysayers: it was one of the very best purchases I have ever made!
