Drove a Boxster Spyder tonight

Now I know why everyone raves about the Spyder. Felt so connected to the road. I thought it was plenty powerful - the light weight belies its "mere" 320hp. 6 sp tranny was great - standard short shifter was smooth. Car sounded great with stock exhaust; the right aftermarket unit would be icing on the cake. I drove it with the top up and road noise was not bad at all - no problem holding a conversation with the salesman. Sorry for rambling but I was just blown away. I love my modded 997S but now I'm very tempted...

Glad you enjoyed the drive If you liked it with the top on, you'll LOVE it with the top off. Especially with the PSE, the sound is so visceral. It's so rewarding every time I take mine out. I've got just over 9000 miles on it after 11 months of ownership and I couldn't be happier.

Dang... the 911 guys are discovering what a gem the 987's are as a drivers car..... maybe that'll drive the resale value up?

Jay9722 is infamous around these parts
I just spent the weekend at the beach visiting my Spyder. I can't get enough of that car and it still surprises me how much attention the it receives. I parked in front of my favorite bar and I couldn't count the number of people stopping to take pictures in from of it! I love the fact that I have the only one (that I know of) in the Charleston SC area. It gives me a little exclusivity! I wouldn't trade it for anything.
