Boxster hard top question

I own a 2000 Boxster which I bought used in 2004 equipped with the removable hard top. I am considering buying a 2008 Boxster S. Does anyone know if the top would fit the 2008 and if a dealer can easily move the mounting hardware to a new car. Thanks

I think the answer is no. The 987 is longer in the cabin area than the 986. I would bring your top to the 2008 and check.

It won't fit.

The 987's side windows has less of an arch shape than the 986 and the rear hump has a beefier/taller rear deck.

What's the point of a hard top boxster??? Didn't you buy it to put the top down? If not they do sell a Cayman which is a hard top boxster. LOL
