That's interesting. I test drove an 07S and 08S when I decided to trade my 09 Cayman S. I came away from both and felt the Cayman S was the better car. I did end up trading for an 09 Carrera S which I felt was worth the move. Glad we have lots of choices.

I am still wondering about this..I dont either but am looking to get one..while I like both cars why would I spend the extra $20k for the base 911 when I can get a loaded 981S..anyone else have any more thoughts? I wont post this in the 991 section b/c I know what the answer will be

In 2009 when I bought my Cayman, I test drove a several different 911’s as well as the Cayman and Boxter, and for me the clear choice was the Cayman. I was willing to trade a bit less power for the mid engine driving feel. The new 991 is a different car. They say it handles like a cayman. The new Caymans and Boxters have been given more power, making them more like the 911’s. It’s going to be a tough choice and we all have to figure it out all over again.
