Question Tire question? Please help!

Hey guys, My brother has a 2008 Cayman S with the 19in Sport Rims on it. I attached a pic of the wheel style on a Boxster. the stock size for tires are---
Front: 8.5" x 19" - 55mm offset. 235/35 ZR19
Rear: 10" x 19" - 42mm offset. 265/35 ZR19

Is it possible to run a wider tire on either the front or rear with these wheels?
I know on many stock wheels you can jump up a size and get a more aggressive stance and a little more grip... We are trying to find out ASAP because we are purchasing the tires in the morning tomorrow..

If you know anything about this please help!!

Thank you,

-Eric

Eric, you can easily go 245 and 275. You can actually go wider (255/295, etc.), but not necessarily recommended. You'll have to check tire info and the wheel width range that's recommended.

Also, are you sure that the wheels are 8.5" and 10"? Those are Spyder/R wheel sizes. I thought CS came with 8" and 9".

thank you for the response! Yes, these are the Sport rims so i guess it comes with a bit of a wider rim..8.5" and 10" is what they are. So you think it would be fine to step it up at least one size and we we'll be fine?
