Are Boxsters lame?
Yes. They're cabriolets so racers don't really consider them a true sports car (even though the Carrera GT was an open ****pit I know) and they're the entry-level Porsche. But hey that's just my opinion and in the grand scheme of life it really doesn't matter what I think. If you like your Boxster that's all that matters.

I'm not going to respond to the 'lame' remark. I think the underlining statement stems from the small size of these cars. People are susceptible to associate ownership with size. That is to say, boxsters and 911s are small cars and it's hard to justify acquiring something small for a sizable amount of cash; especially when you can get more hp for less.
Also, the considerable petite-ness and nimbleness are mostly associated with girly acquisitions. How guys like steaks and burgers and girls with their side salads. But all of those lines are blurred now. Or maybe guys and girls are just swapping sides to get a taste of the opposite sex experience.
All I can say is that if the boxster takes a chunk out of my masculinity it is only because of the residue of backward thinking of older generations spilled over newer generations--if that makes sense.
I remember the time when electronic devices and gadgets depreciated--and looked at as cheap--as they got lighter. Now lightweight is the new zing
I had an 2005 mustang GT--I loved that car--but my experience and the overall satisfaction with the boxster trumps my innate propensity to stick to old false conceptions: that acquisition requires public validation.

That's a subjective question. In my case, having just purchased my first Porsche, no. If I had previously owned 5 Porsches, including a GT and several Lambos, Ferraris, Aston Martins, etc, yes.
Are hot chicks lame?
Seriously? The only lame P car I know of is the Prius.......
Ok, so I had a black 2001 Boxster, I loved the car, but some jerk told me Boxsters are lame. Well i'd like to have a 911, or heck a Carrera GT but I liked that little car and it was fun to drive in the summer with the top down. THe entry price, especially for a used one, is pretty low, so are boxsters a cool ride or what, I think so!
+1
Exactly. Ever watch Le Mans in the 70/, loads of open air cars. And in the right hands, a mid engine car can circulate a tight twisty track as fast or faster than cars with more horses ( on the hood or in the motor).
I used to race 600 series bikes in endurance and blow by guys on 750/ and 900s because they didn't have the skill to use the extra power. Was always good fun. Anyone who says Boxsters or Caymans are lame is providing evidence to their lack of experience and likely lack of driving skill. Just saying, until you race one, you have no clue.

Last time I checked F1 and Indy Cars had no roofs! Boxsters and Caymans are wonderful cars! They handle great, reliable, and are quick and light. Put a tune in that thing, lighten up the wheels, add a sport cat and watch out! They beat me all the time at the auto crosses! I drive a GT3 and just suck at driving

I've pretty much owned every model that Porsche made in the last 7 or 8 years and this is the one car I miss all the time.
I miss this more then my 997, Cayman or anything else I've had in my possession...
