Potential buyer - DME Help - Look good? / Question

Hello,

I'm new to this forum and have been exploring this community.
I'm looking at a used '09 Cayman with PDK

1)I wanted some help with reading the DME report

Operating Hours - 968.16h
Number of ignitions at speed > maximum speed range 1 - 55
Operating hours counter reading at overspeed, range 1 - 742.69h

The rest are zeros Range 2-6.

2)The PPI also shows PDK buttons do not work. Is this a modification that is typically done by Porsche owners? by software? Would it be related to changing the steering wheel to a different one? I wanted to know if this is something to be concerned and I should be asking the dealer to repair first.

Thank you all for your time!

Range 1 rpm's do not exceed the redline so that is not a problem.

As far as PDK buttons not working I would get a estimate for repairing that & ask for discount off the price of the car. Then you can choose if you want to fix it later.

Byprodriver responded to the over revs and I have nothing to add.

PDK buttons not working? That's a new one on me. Not sure the buttons can be disabled.

A PDK or PDK control problem can be an expensive problem to fix.

I'd like to know what *exactly* is going on and have this fixed -- with a warranty on the labor/parts -- before I'd buy this car.

DME readout is excellent.

I know that PDK buttons can be disabled (people don't like accidentally pushing them while driving), but it's not a common mod and I forgot how it's done..

Could it be that the steering wheel was taken off at some point and the PDK wiring was not reconnected?
