Blade Release Lever from Key Fob broken
I recently purchased a new key fob remote and key blade from Suncoast Motorsports and upon receiving my remote and key blank I inserted the blank into the FOB and then attempted to remove it but it looked like i received a remote with a defective/broken release button. The button seemed to be stuck inside to the point where I was unable to pull it backwards in order to release the key blade.
I finally had to use a needle to try and pull it back.
Here is a picture:

In comparison, here is a picture of my old remote fob which is 6 years old which has had absolutely no issues.

Suncoast has ignored my e-mails and upon phoning them to follow up, I was told that they will not replace the part or the fob although it is only a couple of days old.
Has anyone had a similar issue with their FOB?
How did you fix it?
Thanks!

If you're having difficulty installing the key blade, please have it inspected by a pro. The key retainer design is different between the black and grey key, so they won't behave in the same manner.
If you insert the key blade, it should push the black plastic block inward.......then the spring will push the block outward to lock the key blade in place. Be very careful, one wrong step and you damage the block, or the spring can pop-out and fly away.

I just inspected my black key, and it looks the same as the one shown. Notice with the key blade in place, the block is in the final resting position. Don't try to force the block out with a screwdriver, that will break it!

Defective Block
Thanks for the reply Suncoast.
The problem is that my block is stuck and I cannot pull it back to release the blade.
If you compare my block to yours or even to my old key, you will notice how my block is much smaller (part of it seems like its being pushed inside by the spring too far - or it's just a much shorter block for some odd reason).
Here are a few pics of the block in the remote from different angles.

You mentioned to release the blade? The key blade isn't installed in the photo, so I'm not sure if I understand. When you force the key blade into the housing, it will push the block and compress the spring. When you insert the key blade, that block will move. Then at a cretain point, the spring will push the block to lock the key blade.
It should be difficult to remove the key blade when it's installed, that's really a good thing. You don't want the key to become loose.
The grey key vs. the black key. The key design is different, the block is smaller, so they will behave in a different manner. So don't look to the grey key for reference, that won't help much.
