Coilover install shops in Northern California.
SubscribeSorry, I'm very new to the Porsche community, but was wondering if anyone here can recommend any good shops in the Northern California area for install of coilovers for a Porsche Cayman.
Also as an estimate so I can prepare myself how much an install typically would cost.
Thanks for your help.

I really can't recommend any shops in your area but I know the typical installation usually runs around 6 hours of labor give or take. What coilovers are you thinking about going with ? What year Cayman do you have ?
Absolutely without a doubt, go to Sharkwerks in Freemont.
I'm sure everyone will agree, they're the best in your area.

I have a 2006 Cayman S (non-pasm), I was going to go with the Bilstein PSS9 Coilover kit. Originally Posted by ECS Tuning - Porsche

Yes, they are actually in the same city I live in, so I was for sure going to give them a call as they are really well known in the area for doing quality work, but just wanted to get a second reference for another shop just in case. Originally Posted by Tom@Champion

I'm a little jealous, I've been looking at getting one but not sure weather to wait a while or just pull the trigger. How are you liking it so far ? Any downside yet ? I guess I didn't realize Sharkwerks was so close, I would have definitely recommend them. If your looking at the PSS9's, we have them, for more information Click Here. Yeah, I already have them on order, but I appreciate it!
GL on your search for CS!
SW, yes. Also Try TC Designs, they are very good too, and in your area

I'll try giving them a call, thanks for the heads up.
I visited Sharkwerks, which a lot Porsche folks told me to go to, but they don't install the coils, unless they buy the product themselves for warranty purposes, the guys there are super nice though gave me a couple recommendations on some local good shops.

Thanks for the heads up on TC, SW highly recommended TC as well. I'm just waiting for my coils to come in and will probably take my car there for the install, they are a little bit more pricier than the other shops, but if a reputable shop like SW highly recommends them, I'm sure there is a reason. Which coil overs? Any LCAs or sway bars etc?
