Cayman GTS - Track Day and Drag Strip

So, about 200 miles past the car's break in period, I took the GTS for a track day. My previous track experience was a track day on this course in my 480whp 2011 BWM 335is last year and then a bmw event (follow a lead car event that was pretty tame).

The car was obviously night and day different from my bmw. The GTS was simply amazing on the track.

My lap times in my bmw were 1:34 and I dropped the time to 1:24 in the GTS. I was hoping for sub 1:30, so I am really happy with the times.

Here is a video. Please forgive the bad driving and sound.

I also hit up the drag strip on Friday to see how she would do. Pretty much spot on with what Porsche claims. Car weight was 3,275lbs with me in the car, helmet, gopro and 3/4 tank of gas. My estimate for the car weight with a full tank of gas minus me and equipment is about 3,100. Not bad for a PDK. Car is stock.
