PSM failure (New Porsche Owner)

Hello, I own a 2006 Porsche Cayman S and recently have encountered the PSM failure warning. I tried multiple ways to fix it (advice I googled and ended up on these forums) but none have worked.

When I drive the car two feet the warning goes away, when I begin to stop the warning comes back, so I am not really sure maybe a battery issue.

I have turned the wheel to the right and then to the left and drove straight, like I mentioned above the warning goes away after I start moving the vehicle but ultimately comes back when I begin to stop and/or stop.

I drove it for about 20 miles and the light goes away then comes back etc.

Any advice would really put me at ease ( last time I took it to the dealership It was a $3750 repair talk about a punch to the stomach).

Thanks,
Nick.

Have you tried to read any fault codes ?
This should give you a better idea of the exact problem. There are many sensors that feed the PSM and any of them could be causing the problem.

What happens if you switch the PSM off ?

Check your alignment. I had PSM failure and it turned out that the idiots who did my alignment did not tighten the eccentric rear toe bolts and the right rear toe was way off. I assume that if the system detects an angle that is out of its range it goes haywire. It took maybe 100 miles after resetting the toe for the PSM to reset.
