Talking Pics of my new car - 2011 Boxster Spyder

Thanks to everyone on the board for all the great info, I've made a bit of an impulse buy on this car after driving past it at a M-B dealership lot while on business in Memphis. Can't wait to drive it back home to Atlanta tomorrow - here's a few pics after taking delivery. It's not fully loaded by any means but has all the basics I need - PDK with Sport Design steering wheel and paddles, sport bucket seats, cup holders, A/C, CDR-30 audio, and only 13k miles at a great price under $50k. If I were picky, Sport Chrono, bi-xenon headlights, and PSE exhaust would have been nice but not show-stoppers for me! And yes, I'll be changing out to the Euro clear corner lens up front!

You are going to love your Spyder. Driving a Spyder on the twisties is an adrenaline rush. Be sure to bring it to one of the Peachstate Porsche Club events.

Awesome ride!

I'll be interested to hear how the bikini top was on the drive back to ATL.

Made it home safe and sound! It was super windy yesterday in MS and TN so the car was hard to drive in a straight line, and the top was definitely doing some talking, but I fully expected it and quite frankly the noise at highway speed with the top on is pretty impressive given it only weighs 12 lbs and isn't engineered for sound insulation.

The car is a blast to drive - PDK is so intuitive and smooth - what a transmission! (My 997S is manual, so I can still row through gears when I want.) I'm also pleasantly surprised with the suspension on the Spyder - of course the car handles well but it's also great at taking a few bumps and remaining firm but forgiving. Dare I say it even feels more forgiving than PASM non-sport mode on my 997S! I love the analog nature of the Spyder, suspension and otherwise! It's a very pure and authentic driving experience!

I am looking into buying this model as well. After a few months you've had it are you as pleased as initially? Any issues you've noticed? What is important to check for when buying this car? Thanks.

Hi congrats for the car. If you still own it, may I ask you a couple of pics of the area close to the seatbelt behind the seats? Many thanks.

Why would you be surprised that Porsche Sport Suspension is so good? It's a step up from PASM, and was a more expensive option on cars which you could get both, the Spyder not being one of them. There's a reason Porsche only gave the Cayman R and Spyder Sport Suspension. Same for my 2016 Spyder. Best suspension Porsche has ever used in a non-GT car.

BTW, I sold my '11 Spyder last year. Metallic black, full red leather interior, sport seats, PDK, SC, PSE, 2,300 miles. I only had it 6 months. But along came [another] Spyder
