Plasti Dipped Emblems on Boxster S

The only thing I really didn't like on my car was the chrome emblems. To my eye they just didn't go with the rest of the car. A co-worker had success doing his so I thought hey why not. I used three coats of black and two coats of glossifier. This was the first time I ever used Plasti Dip and I'd say it came out really well.

Looks really good. Don't know that I would have had the courage to spray the stuff on my car. You do realize that you could have purchased the letters and logo in black from Porsche. That's the color they are on the GTS. I would be willing to bet that Bumperplugs has or could get them.

I know enough people that have done it that I wasn't worried. The stuff is really easy to remove . Taking badges off and trying to get new ones to line up is a huge PITA, especially the Porsche one. This was really easy and only cost $15. Mind you the cost savings wasn't the driver, but it was also a fun project.

The contrast looks pretty neat. And easily reversible in case you tire of it.

Looks sweet, but you gotta be real careful when cleaning your car. I once plasti dipped my rims and it lasted 2 pressure washes LOL
