So I want to do a chrome wrap but was strongly advised against it. Shop says it wouldn't last longer than a year due to road debris scratching it up. I am wondering, does anyone have experience with this? Also, what do you guys think of doing a ppf (suntek or xpel) over the chrome wrap? Essentially it would be 2 wraps....

 

I don't have any experience with it...however it would be a head turner for sure!!!!

 

I believe that Pert Plus did exactly that to his 991 TTS. Wrapped it in purple chrome film and then did a matte clear wrap over it.

I do know that he only kept the car that way for a short period, though he never seems to keep much of anything for more than a few weeks.

Maybe you can PM him to get his input?
