Dynamic Transmission Mounts

Learn something new every day!

Learned my Spyder has Porsche Dynamic Transmission Mounts. They firm up when you push the car hard, especially when in Sport Plus. Any other Porsche have that? I assume the GT4 probably does.

BMWBig6 is infamous around these parts
I could be mistaken, but I think all of the 981s with Sport Chrono option came with this. 991s with Sport Chrono option got dynamic engine mounts instead, since their engines are flipped around (oriented 180 degrees from ours).

^^ Right you are. Now I see. I still have the sales booklets for the 981 Cayman and Boxster (separate) and both show it, except they call it Dynamic Gearbox Mounts. My Porsche Spyder launch booklet (hardback) referred to it as the other. Apparently it serves as a dynamic engine mount as well which tightens the whole drive train when needed. The Cayman/Boxster booklets gave much more detail to its operation.
