Power Seat Removal Help

I have a 1999 Boxster with power seats, which I need to remove. However, the seats will only move forward because the switches are broken, so I cannot get at all of the mounting bolts. Is there any way to move the seats manually? Any ideas would be most appreciated.

Thanks.

forward/backward is all you need.
Use a 10mm swivel wrench to remove the 4 bolts

Geetee --

My problem is that the passenger seat will not move at all, and the drivers seat will only move forward. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Heavydee

Is it the switches that are broken? (they should have a slight springiness up/down fore/aft). Or is it he motor?

NewArt --

I believe that it is the switches.

Inside the switches is a little plastic toggle thingie. These sometimes break but I don't think that you can buy the parts separately. Since you would need to replace the switch anyway, you might consider taking it apart and jumping the circuit manually until the seat is in position.
